The John Trigg Ester Library’s catalog is now available online! Check out the links below for more details. Note that the Calypso Resource Library and the JTEL share their catalog; books tagged “Calypso” are located at Calypso Farm & Ecology Center. (See more information below.) The librarians will be adding more titles as time goes on.

Except for videos and CDs, each item has a card in a card pocket attached to the book, usually on the front inside cover. Videos have a separate card catalog, so to check out a video, take the video and find the corresponding card in the card catalog, sign it out, and then put the card in the check-out box.
Many titles are now available for checkout at the JTEL Business Office also. These include mostly adult nonfiction (Alaska, natural science, food and agriculture) and some science fiction titles.
The Ester library features many books that have been banned or have suffered attempts at banning in libraries and schools. Ideas are revolutionary things and upset the status quo, expand the minds of their thinkers, and generally cause a ruckus. The librarians feel that this is a good thing.
Calypso Farm & Ecology Center Resource Library:
Gardening, homesteading, horticulture, animal husbandry manuals, and ecology books and the like are located at Calypso Farm’s resource library. When the new library is built, we will have a rotating shelf that will help each library share its titles with patrons at each location. You can check out a book at one place and return it at another.
